Last Saturday Jenn and I went down to Providence, RI to seeWaterfire. I was overwhelmed by this giant work of art; the sight of these fires reflecting off the dark river, the smell of the wood burning, the light music in the air. It was really peaceful. As a side effect of these influences I made an observation of the people at the event. There men and women of from 16 to 80 of all class types and genres. and they sat or walked together in a peaceful manner it was a little satisfying to see that their might be a chance for our society to get along.

Independence Day, 2001
Tonight there will be celebration. Fireworks, Boston Pops, and barbecues. Jenn and her parents will visit. We will fight Plymouth traffic to watch the fireworks. Why? Because we can. we are free. 225 years ago today the Constitution of the United States of America was ratified and amended and the Bill of Rights approved. We became a free country unto ourselves and now is the time to celebrate. So every one pickup your soda, wine or beer and toast to goo old US of A and be happy you live in the United States of America, even with all its problems still the best country to live in.

Jenn has her own website now and for all you smart people out there in Internet Land she provides new and interesting trivia with every post.
