Oh what a weekend, volunteering, an excellent date, several movies, rainy weather, and barbeque. Alas, let us not forget the men who have to provide and defend these rights and freedoms. I was a solider, too and am DAMN proud to serve my country. I was lucky enough not to have been deployed to foreign lands but if I had I surely would have died in the first few hours of battle. Being I also had to stand right next to the task force commander (enemy always wants a piece of him) and I was always one of the first three people out of the airplane my chances were never high. Yet I wouldn't have shirked off my duty save my own ass. I would gladly die so that rights of my brother, my family, and my friends and billions of people like them would not have to suffer anymore. I thank you all who have died for me.

What a busy week it’s been! Andrew flew in from California and Alison flew in from Houston. I went to Providence, RI on Friday all day, and Portland, ME on Monday (both for work). Becky came home on Tuesday and Sunday was Mother’s Day. Andrew seemed a little distant to me when I saw him, or maybe I seemed a little distant to him. At any rate there wasn’t that cohesive bond that had existed in the past. I hope repeated scrubbings since our separation hasn’t washed it away. Saturday at the golf course (while Ryan, Alison, and Andrew were at Virgil’s wedding) I was lumped in and treated like a 15 year old, and I still have no idea what I am getting paid. I don’t know if I’ll work there much longer if it keeps up like this. On the lighter side, I know somebody who likes me, which is always good news, but she is no longer available. I saw a deer prance away from the side of the commuter rail, in graceful bounds to the nearby brush. I flew lots of planes this week, too. Wal-Mart's got them on sale for four dollars each. So overall this week has been chock full of emotional stirring, stress and frustrations, fun and excitement.

Last night I went to a FNX sponsored show of Godsmack at Avalon. It was an excellent show. They rocked! I spent almost the whole show in the Pit (quite to the surprise of my coworkers). As a matter of fact one of them shouted, "Hey, isn't that the computer guy fucking shit up in the pit?" Yes, yes it was. I now have the bruises to show for it. I am not as young as I used to be. The opening band was good, too. They did a great job of firing up the crowd. The lead singer was pretty hot, too.
When Fonzie jumped a shark in California on Happy Days, it was a downhill turning point for the show. This is a website with every Tv Show i could think of and other peoples votes of when if at all the show has"Jumped The Shark" It really is pretty funny and a litlle interesting to read the comments. There is also a whole section of Ted McGinley, when he joins the cast the goes down. Pretty funny stuff.

Masses of people huddled side by side on the subway platform like watching a funeral procession pass by. Breaking through the silence are two young boys and a young girl on either side of the subway platform. They were yelling at each other across the platform with childlike taunts and comebacks in perfect youthful innocence like beautiful flowers blooming amongst hundreds of dead soldiers on a battlefield, completely unawares of their surroundings. Slowly smiles appeared on the faces of the of every stressed out and frustrated commuter. Where does our innocence go?
